ENGINEERING WAREHOUSE
A full engineering bench.
Every page read. Every number recomputed.
Upskill Energy’s Engineering Warehouse gives you advisory engineering reviews, produced with AI assistance under automated controls and signed by a named competent person. Thirteen senior discipline engineers, built not hired, produce advisory reviews in 48 hours for most packages: failure investigations, vendor packages, corrosion, fitness for service, relief systems, welds and tenders. Every deliverable runs under an automated control battery of around twenty checks and is reviewed and signed by a named competent person. It certifies nothing and authorises no work, and it shows its evidence.
THE BENCH
Thirteen senior discipline engineers on every job that needs them.
Each is an AI discipline lead serving under the named human competent person who signs. Level, for every trade: senior practitioner, on an authored library of the discipline’s own canon, blind-marked on the benchmark pack, never serving outside the control battery. Selection is evidence-driven per pack, from the subject matter rather than the job label.
Materials and Welding
Welding metallurgy, procedure and qualification canon (ASME IX, ISO 15614), degradation and fracture mechanisms.

Mechanism verdicts, procedure review comments, material exclusions with citations.
Pressure Systems and Fitness for Service
Pressure design and FFS canon (ASME VIII, B31, API 579), t-min and remaining-life methods.
t-min derivation, corrosion rate from measurements, rerate, repair or monitor decisions.

HOW THE BENCH IS TRAINED
Trained like a discipline, drilled like a crew, never trusted alone.
Each engineer is built on an authored library of its discipline: the governing codes, the calculation methods and the failure-mechanism knowledge a senior practitioner carries.
The bench is drilled on benchmark packs with known answers and blind-marked by an independent review. That marking is where our published quality score comes from.
Around twenty automated checks run on every deliverable: every page read as an image against a coverage ledger, every number recomputed by an independent route, steam and water properties through IAPWS-IF97.
A blind challenge engineer re-derives the mechanism without seeing the first draft. A named human competent person adjudicates the exceptions and signs within a stated scope. The bench never works alone and never signs.
THE QUALITY, SHOWN
What an integrity report looks like.
An illustrative example, invented to show the format; not from any client or production job. Every deliverable carries an integrity report in exactly this shape: it registers what could be confirmed and discloses what could not, so your engineer adjudicates in seconds rather than re-reads for days.
34 attributed quotes verified against their source pages · 12 identifiers checked against the document registry · 19 quantity anchors recomputed by an independent route.
CAUGHT. A nozzle size changed under a revision cloud on a vendor drawing while the datasheet still carried the old size. The interface check reads both as rendered pages, caught the mismatch, and dispositioned it reject pending clarification.
DISCLOSED. A quote attributed to the datasheet actually appears in the calculation appendix. Repair stated: correct the attribution to the locator where it appears. Nothing is silently fixed; the reader sees every repair.
CAUGHT. A relief load transcribed from a table in lb/h was carried as kg/h. The independent recompute flagged the factor of 2.2; the corrected value carries the deliverable and the discrepancy is registered.
In 5 of 9 production jobs the review was delivered with a ranked exception sheet of items for engineering adjudication: disclosure, never failure, so your competent person decides with the evidence in view.
SCORED AGAINST THE BENCH YOU KNOW
Measured like an engineer, priced like a fraction of one.
| Measure | The warehouse | A conventional senior review |
|---|---|---|
| Competency | 83 per cent (41.5/50) by an independent blind review across factual integrity, evidence depth, reasoning, brief coverage and client value on our benchmark pack. An internal benchmark, not an accreditation. | Rarely blind-marked at all; competency is asserted by CV, not measured per deliverable. |
| Facts checked | Every page read as an image against a coverage ledger; every number recomputed by an independent route; every citation verified against its source page and every failure disclosed. | Sampled under time pressure; appendix evidence and handwriting are where misses live. |
| Missed evidence | Handwritten annotations and appendix evidence are read as images against a coverage ledger, so evidence a text-only pipeline never sees is on the record. | A miss of that kind is only found when the next failure finds it. |
| Time | 48 hours for most packages; same-day available when the pack is in by 09:00. Median 37 minutes of machine time per job. | Three to six weeks at typical market availability. |
| Cost of the work | Fixed scope, priced per engagement and confirmed in the engagement letter. | A comparable line-by-line review at typical consultancy day rates is a multiple of this, and takes weeks rather than hours. Typical market position, indicative. |

OPTIONS
Ways to engage beyond a single review.
Send any pack. The sufficiency gate rules on it before analysis starts, and where the evidence cannot support the work you receive the scoping note free of charge, with exactly what to collect.
Standing on the 48-hour triage when the pack is in by 09:00, and available on other packages by agreement in the engagement letter.
Multi-item runs on wall loss screening, relief devices, inspection units and weld dossiers, priced per item with programme rates in the engagement letter.
A monthly retainer of three to six reviews at per-package turnarounds, from Priced per month, with larger volumes by agreement.
Any engineering question that a documented pack can evidence, scoped and priced in the engagement letter under the same production standard and the same boundary.
For consultancies and engineering firms: put your own competent person at the head of the line and deliver under your name, with the warehouse as your production floor.
ENGINEERING DOCUMENT INTELLIGENCE
Your facility is fully documented. The documents just cannot answer anything.
Decades of P&IDs, isometrics and line lists sit in scanned files no search box can reach. We turn them into verified engineering registers, read on your own hardware, checked by a second engineer, with nothing guessed.
WHAT COMES BACK
Registers your team can use, and audit.
DELIVERABLE
Verified registers
Tag registers, line lists, instrument indexes and material take-offs, as spreadsheets your team already knows how to use.
TRACEABILITY
Every row located
Each row carries its drawing, sheet, revision and where on the sheet it came from, so anyone can check any row against the drawing in seconds.
EXCEPTIONS
The list of what to decide
Every value that could not be read with certainty, with its location and the action it needs from you. Usually the most useful page in the pack.
Sovereign by construction. The work runs on your hardware, or on ours in your country, inside the environment you confirm before anything starts. Your drawings are not uploaded to a cloud service, no third-party vendor sees them, and they are used for your engagement and nothing else.
HOW IT WORKS
Four steps, every job, three different pairs of hands.
Each sheet is cut into overlapping tiles at reading resolution, with a manifest that maps every tile to a region of its sheet. One tile set for the job, so a location means the same thing to everyone.
Equipment, lines, instruments, valves, connectors and title blocks, read to a written standard rather than to whatever the reader found interesting. Model-assisted, never model-decided.
A second engineer reads the drawings again from scratch, cold, without seeing the first reading, and confirms every row. 100 per cent of rows, never a sample. Disagreements go to a log, not to a compromise.
A technical authority checks the method, rules in writing on every disagreement, samples rows back to the drawing, and a named engineer signs a bounded scope.
THE TEST THAT MATTERS
Pick any row. Follow it back to the drawing.
A register you cannot audit is just a spreadsheet. Every row states the drawing, the sheet, the revision it was read from, and the region of the sheet it came from, so a challenge takes seconds rather than an afternoon.
Where a sheet carries no border grid, the location is a tile reference such as tile s2 r1c3, which resolves to a region of that sheet rather than just to the sheet. The obscured set pressure above is not a gap in the work: it is a stamp across the figure on the original, and it reaches you as an exception rather than as a number somebody guessed.
THE RULE THAT OUTRANKS THE REST
If a value cannot be read with certainty, it is never guessed.
Not inferred from the neighbouring line. Not completed from the pattern. Not filled in with what it would normally be. It is marked, and it reaches you on an exceptions table with its sheet, its location and the action it needs from you.
A guess that happens to be right is still treated as a defect, because nobody downstream can tell it apart from a reading. On a poor set the exceptions table is long, and that is the service working rather than failing.
WHERE IT PAYS FOR ITSELF
The work that currently waits on somebody reading the archive.
Material take-off from the isometrics, with the bill of materials as the governing source and any disagreement raised rather than averaged.
What the as-built drawings actually show, in a register you can compare against the maintenance system or the change pack.
Process safety information assembled from the drawings themselves, with every unreadable value surfaced instead of quietly assumed.
A clean tag population to load into a maintenance or integrity system, with your own conventions preserved exactly as drawn.
Before we offered it, we tested it against an answer key it was not allowed to see. The method was proved end to end on a drawing set we authored ourselves, with defects deliberately planted in it: an obscured relief valve set pressure, a line that changes size between two sheets, a duty on hold inside a revision cloud, a tag destroyed by a fold mark, an off-page connector pointing at a drawing nobody supplied, and a bill of materials that disagrees with what is drawn. The answer key was withheld from the producer, the checker and the technical authority for the whole run.
We have not yet run this for a client, and we will not imply otherwise. The ten-drawing pilot exists so you can test the method on your own drawings, for a fixed fee, before committing anything to it. It returns the registers, the exceptions table, the effort per sheet as actually worked, and a costed plan for your full archive.
WHAT A DELIVERABLE IS, AND IS NOT
The boundary is printed on every review.
Every deliverable carries this boundary statement verbatim:
This deliverable is an advisory engineering review produced with AI assistance under an automated control battery and reviewed and signed by a named competent person, whose printed signature scope bounds what has been personally verified. It certifies nothing, authorises no work, confers no statutory or classification approval, and does not replace the duty holder’s own competent person.
NEXT STEP
Send the pack. The gate answers first.
A discovery call scopes the review line and the engagement letter fixes the price. If the evidence cannot support the work, you get the scoping note free of charge and a list of exactly what to collect.

Questions, answered.
Short answers about the Engineering Warehouse. There are more on the questions page.
What engineering reviews does the Engineering Warehouse carry out?
Upskill Energy’s Engineering Warehouse runs ten review lines: failure investigation second opinions, failed equipment triage, vendor package reviews, wall loss and remaining life, tender technical evaluation, relief system checks, corrosion and integrity reviews, inspection scope challenges, weld and certificate pack reviews, and a standing monthly review line. Bespoke scopes cover any question a documented pack can evidence.
How quickly is a review delivered, and how is it priced?
Upskill Energy’s Engineering Warehouse delivers most packages in 48 hours, and failed equipment triage is same-day when the pack is in by 09:00. Each review is fixed scope, priced per engagement and confirmed in the engagement letter. If the evidence cannot support the work, you receive a scoping note free of charge listing exactly what to collect.
How is each Engineering Warehouse review checked?
Around twenty automated checks run on every Engineering Warehouse deliverable: every page is read as an image against a coverage ledger, every number is recomputed by an independent route, and every citation is verified against its source page. A blind challenge engineer then re-derives the mechanism, and a named human competent person adjudicates the exceptions and signs.
Does an Engineering Warehouse review certify equipment or authorise work?
No. Every Engineering Warehouse deliverable is an advisory review that certifies nothing, authorises no work, confers no statutory or classification approval, and does not replace the duty holder’s own competent person. A named competent person signs it, and the printed signature scope bounds what they have personally verified. The AI bench never works alone and never signs.
